Recycling in Italy is required by law and not complying may result in a 500 euros fine. The waste deposit does not allow unsorted trash to be dropped off. To avoid extra fee at departure we kindly ask you to strictly follow the guidelines provided here below.
It's up to you to decide whether you want to manage the waste disposal in "do-it-yourself" mode or ask for the garbage service. In this case the staff will remove your bin bag as long as the waste is separated according to the guidelines. The cost of this service is 5 eu per person per day.
1.
First off, you need to sort your trash into several categories:
a) Organic waste
b) Paper, cardboard, aseptic packaging
c) Plastic and metal cans
d) Bottles and glass
e) All other garbage
(refer to the pdf linked below for fully detailed instructions and materials list)
2.
Each type of trash and recycling goes into its own color-coded bag and designated home bin.
A different waste type pickup service is scheduled daily (Monday to Friday, see attached scheme). Waste bags must be carried at the villa driveway entrance and placed in the designated bin in the dedicated pick-up location on the corresponding waste type pickup day.
